New design improvements πŸ‘¨β€πŸŽ¨

Thanks @Pipo installing now

Just got my invite through

It looks funny to me lol

Could someone please fire up some screenshots when you get a chance?

Would be appreciated and I’m sure the other person on here with an Android phone would appreciate it as well

did not see much change, there is no PDF for statement just a redesign of Home Screen

Thanks for that @Olatunde1

Kinda disappointed there no PDF or CSV downloads it looks more like a minor redesign rather than the complete overhaul I was expecting.

Hopefully I’m missing something otherwise I’m finding it hard to feel excited about this now.

I’m more disappointed then you I expected something new guess not. I will take older version to this all they needed was some some bugs fix adds something new like PDF statement and open banking to pay on time and credit score check, also the chat button could be similar to Monzo where you don’t have to open ticket every time.

I was kind of impressed that the app seems to be even slower at pulling data in its new guise than before. It’s like I’m sending a guy on a horse to get the data from Tymit HQ. It’s pretty bizarre that the focus seems to be fixing things that need fixing but just about work, vs. adding features like a statement that anyone would think was pretty fundamental to a credit card. The gaps in functionality are amazing yet there’s a huge fanfare about a beta app which tweaks the home screen layout.

As someone who used to use Tymit on Android I understand your pain. A speak and spell could do a better job than that app. Please know the iPhone version is nearly as bad, it just doesn’t need booting and force quitting three times to pull data.

So having used the app over the weekend it does seem quite a bit faster than the previous non-testflight version. The new look is nice, I hope that the developments aren’t going to stop there though.

It sure is faster for me which is great! At my place of work, we had to re-write the whole codebase so the first version was some design changes plus a stable codebase. That allowed us to then implement new features.

Hopefully it’s the same with Tymit :raised_hands:

That would be good to see. The app feels a lot smoother so hopefully there’s a robust base to add new features to.

@jase  problems of growing fast in the middle of a pandemic :rocket:

The goal is to start 2022 fresh on both iOS and Android and be able to focus 100% on what our customers want!

Sounds awesome. Keep up the hard work Product guy to Product guy!

I was really hoping that we would have the ability to download statements in PDF, CSV or QIF.

While the update looks nice, however in terms of basic function, I would say being able to download your monthly statements is fairly essential. If everybody else can offer this (Monzo, Starling etc.), not sure why Tymit cannot offer this.

I love it but noticed on IOS where it showed available to spend that as gone and shows you what used but not available to spend unless I’m missing something

It shows for me still

Maybe it’s a difference between booster and regular Tymit as I don’t have the available spend on my app either

It seems a bit daft to me that they would redesign the app to show your next months balance twice???
Why not show the AVAILABLE balance at the top left just under where it says β€˜Hello {name}’

I think it’s a design artefact leftover from when the user scrolls. If you scroll to the end of the month and select to view the previous month, it changes.
