What Fintech products do you have?

Got into Fintech with Monzo, then joined Starling. Next was Curve so I could use a reward CC overseas with out foreign transaction fees. Joined Chip as I invested via Croudcube … and finally Tymit :+1:

Edit: Just added Plum to the mix :slightly_smiling_face:

Revolut and before that WeSwap, originally for FX purposes.

Actually use

  • Monzo
  • Curve
  • Tymit
  • Plum

Have, but don’t use

  • Starling
  • Revolut
  • Zeux

Plum looks interesting … think I might have to give it a go

I’ve been really impressed, it’s great. Only downside is it takes a decent amount of time for the money incoming to be withdrawable. But withdrawals are close-to-instant (about 15 mins, even on weekends).

Yep, I think most of us have been down that route. Nothing unusual there!

Oh let’s see…

Full monzo for banking

Chip lite for savings
Virgin Money for savings

TransferWise for US bank details, originally for FX
Revolut for adding money from cards where bank transfers are awkward, originally for FX, contemplating going full revolut
Wirex for FX (unlimited)

Crypto.com just to try. Like the cashback but don’t like the lack of spending insights.

Tymit, of course!

And then Curve to tie them all together

(Also plan to try out treecard when it launches)

Have and use:
Dozens - Use as my main banking and saving hub
Starling - Use as a backup for personal account but holds my business account. Chose it over Monzo but don’t recall logic at the time.
Revolut - Used for international spending but only really for large sums these days. May cancel.
Tymit - Principal credit card
Wealthify - Some ISA savings. Would consider closing and moving ISA’s to Dozens in due course.

Have but don’t use
Freetrade - Used to have self invest ISAs but moved money into funds as no time to maintain.
Tandem - Had two fixed savers, will close once last one has matured.

Had but no longer have
Curve - Did not really find it added much value to my life.

Out of interest when and why did you drop Dozens. Not without their problems but still like the proposition, which I haven’t found elsewhere, and have stayed for the journey in hope of seeing the intent mature.

I opened my Dozens account approximately 12 months ago, purely out of curiosity, much like many of the other Fintechs, and used them for about 6 months.
I found that for me at least, they offered very little compared with most prepaid offerings or app based investment platforms.
I may revisit them at some point in the future, if this changes.
